No pictures again today. We mostly passed lots and lots of farmland. The weather was good once again, and the temperature cooled down significantly to the 80s. Two more days left probably, with a last stop in Idaho.

Return Trip-Day 2: Houston-Oklahoma City

The weather was significantly better today, with a lot of clouds, but little rain. The driving went by quickly, and we managed to have time to stop at the Oklahoma City Memorial for the 1995 bomb. Basically, an anti-government extremist blew up a federal building. It was kind of creepy at night, with each chair at the memorial representing one of the hundreds of victims. A good memorial though.

Return Trip-Day 1: New Orleans-Houston

After a good time in New Orleans, it's time to head home. The total drive will take 5-6 days, as we will not do any sight seeing. Below are some pictures of New Orleans:

Day 15: New Orleans

Today was mostly an errand day for Groceries and other miscellaneous stuff. New Orleans is an interesting city. New Orleans is a bustling city, though not in the industrial sense, but in the cultural sense. Its economic presence is largely outweighed by nearby Houston and Atlanta, but few cities rival New Orleans' allure as a tourist destination. Tulane borders the famed French Quarter, a neighborhood that predates the foundation of the U.S. I enjoy being in New Orleans, despite the stifling heat (100 something degrees). The energy found among the people and in the streets is contagious.

Day 14: Houston-New Orleans

Miles: 348
Time Driven: 6 hours
States Crossed: Texas, Louisiana
Today was a relatively smooth drive, although we were stuck in traffic for an hour near New Orleans. The landscape turned from farmland into swamps and lakes. It was our last day of driving, and after two weeks we reached Nola. I spent the evening watching the Olympics, as I have been the past few days.
